South Coast Engagement Adventure // Jess + Joey
On a cloudy summer's afternoon, we headed down to Kiama for Jessica and Joey's South Coast engagement photos adventure. Jess wore a white lace dress and khaki hat from our client closet, and Joey wore his signature denim-jacket-and-black-Converse combo. We were all excited to hang out, explore the scenery, and create some magic together.
Thankfully Joey and Jess still had some energy left after their wrestling and BJJ classes that afternoon so they ran, danced, played, spun each other around and scrambled over rocks with us. We did give them a little break to lay down in the long grass though while I balanced up on Juwan's shoulders (thank you, human tripod) to capture their snuggles. It even started to sprinkle a little which only made them cuddle closer.
As you can tell from their photos, Jess and Joey are just BURSTING with love for each other. They met at their church 10 years ago and Joey got down on one knee and asked Jess for forever at the end of last year. One thing we learnt almost straight away about them is that music plays a big part in their lives. Joey is in a Christian metal band and Jess is an amazing singer. So naturally, we made sure Joey brought along his guitar so we could capture that beautiful part of their relationship. It was so peaceful to hear him strumming away effortlessly as they leaned in close, becoming lost in their own little world. It's such a privilege to be able to witness these moments, and help couples relax and sink into the present and each other. As well as Jess and music, Joey also loves his car so of course we had to get her in some shots, too!
We love so many things about photography but one of the greatest parts is getting to meet and hang out with so many amazing people. Thank you for adventuring with us, Jess and Joey!
