Playful Beach Sunrise Session // Brenda + Ethan
“Just because” couple’s photography sessions have to be some of our favourites. “Just because” we have no real pictures together; “just because” we want to capture this moment in our relationship; “just because” we’re down for an epic date we’ll never forget. Brenda and Ethan booked in a “just because” sunrise beach session in Cronulla on a brisk and slightly overcast winter’s morning.
Brenda is from Sydney and Ethan grew up in Dunedin, New Zealand - coincidentally, the town where Juwan’s family live - until Ethan crossed the ocean to be with his lady. Yup, just like out of a romantic movie or something! Brenda and Ethan are one of those couples that simultaneously make you go “awww’ with their adorableness and stand in awe of their gentle yet powerful love and we wanted to capture both these aspects of their relationship.
We met them in the carpark with a thermos of hot chocolate before the sun had begun to peek over the horizon. The chilly air was perfect for two of our favourite things: lots of movement, and lots of cuddles!
Warm and all loved up, it didn’t take long at all until these two were running, splashing, playing and dragging each other through the surprisingly not-too-icy waves.
After a quick change into dry clothes for Brenda, the sun was starting to emerge from its cloudy hideaway and bathe everything in the most beautiful, glowy light. Brenda and Ethan took a moment to snuggle up on the sand, basking in its warmth and each other.
The sun hid as quickly as it had graced us with its presence and so Brenda was forced to return to stealing warmth from Ethan’s embrace instead. As you can see, she didn’t seem to mind!
At this stage you might be wondering: so is Ethan tall or is Brenda small? The answer is both! Brenda only needed a tiiiny bit of help to jump up on Ethan’s shoulders and it was so cute to see how giggly and happy she was up there. She really did look like she was on top of the world.
Anyone who knows Brenda knows of her undying love for Justin Bieber, so it seemed fitting to play some of his tunes for her to dance with the only man she loves more than him.
